The End of the Modern World

(Germany Time)
The End of the Modern World, one of
Guardini's classical work, analyzes the cricise of our
modern society, especially the European civilization after
the two world wars. It outlines the relationship between
human beings and the divine in medieval times in comparison
with the human consciousness and understanding in modern
era. Specially it studies how modern men/women relate and
understand themselves with their own being in terms of
nature, culture and subjectivity; how science and technology
are only instrumental diveses which cannot solve all human
conundrums; how the exercise of power cannot shy awary from
human responsibility...
