The conference will
constitute a
general discussion on philosophical and philological issues from
aninterdisciplinary perspective,
with some methodological
issues. The
disciplinary range
of the conference will
be extended to involve interested specialists from different
studies: linguists, philologists, philosophers and specialists
in other related
fields.
The main objectives of this conference are: the
elaboration of scientific and cultural dialogue among the
researchers of Philosophy and Philology, communication between
Russian and foreign researchers to
provide anopen area for the discussion and
exchange of opinions on fundamental
research problems.
The conference will seek to explore the role of language in the
philosophical cultures of the East, Russia and the West. In
particular it will search for ways to understand different
language cultures and the philosophical foundations of
translation.
A point of special interest will be the integration of
philosophy and literature in different cultures, especially in
classical Russian culture.
Papers are invited for the following session on Humanities and
Knowledge: Philosophy, Literature and Language:
Philosophy of translation: philosophical
foundations for interpretation of different language cultures.
Problems of translation of oriental
philosophical texts.
Philosophy and philology: aspects of
interaction
The integration of philosophy and
literature in the classical Russian culture
Language as means of communication:
philosophical aspects
The working languages are Russian,
English.
As first information on this conference please note the
following:
• Date: Thursday,
25 April – Friday, 26 April 2013.
• Venue: Campus
of the Russian Peoples’ Friendship University, Moscow, Russia.
• A
one page abstract should
be submitted by April 15, 2013 to Dr. Ruzana Pskhu r.pskhu@mail.ru and
nauka_fgsn@mail.ru. Presentation of accepted papers will be
25-30 minutes in length followed by 5-10 minute discussion. Full
papers for which there is no upper page limit will be due by
July 1 for publication both in Russian and in English.

of participants will
be around 25.
• Logistics: All
travel expenses and accommodation
will be covered by participants (or their institutions);
lunch/dinner will
be covered by PFU; visa support will be provided by PFU.
